4 Year Old Fine During The Day, But Sickness And Now diarrhoea At Night - 3 Nights In A Row

My 4yr old son is fine during the day in all other ways, maybe a little off his food if anything. But for the past three nights he's vomited at night, and now (tonight) has diarrhoea too. I'm going to call the GP in now which may not be too successful over the holidays. He's not complained of pain, but later today (it's 6am now) I'm going to LF test him and dose him up on calpol.

He also gets so upset during the night when this happens. What on earth could be the cause? He's fine in all other respects (has always been a bit constipated), but this is three nights in a row now.

Sounds like a stomach bug. I have also noticed with my children any sickness they get worse at night and ok during day time. As long as you are offering plenty of drinks and he does not look dehydrated, you can wait for surgeries to open. I have three children so talking from my experience but keep strict eye for any rash or he stopped doing pretty much of his day activities. I hope he feels better soon . Normally by 3rd or 4th day they start feeling better if its stomach bug

Is he allergic to something he’s eating/ drinking at night ?

No, all he does is have water. I suspect a stomach bug/virus. Contacting a GP will be a nightmare, it thankfully he is fine in all other respects. I'm with him now, he's had a bath and a dose of Calpol. I'll LF test him too just in case. He's happy as anything just now, but had (very pungent) diarrhoea as soon as he awoke.
