DS 15month got a cough and mild fever on saturday, sunday was a little sensitive, lots of cuddles then monday was fine. Then monday night had a very high fever, then tuesday was fine. Wednesday started being a bit clingy and then vomited a few times in the evening, very tough night and today he is really sad, wont come off my lap, had another vomiting episode and very sleepy also has a cough. No fever though.

Just wondered how long it generally lasts, he seems quite poorly today, i thought it was only very mild and short in children? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Very worried about him ☹️

Bumping for you. Hope he’s ok. Did you do a lateral flow?

Nottosure22 · 24/12/2021 09:03

@Notwithittoday

Thank you! We did a lateral flow which came back negative but i have to say i was very delicate with it, i dont think i did it properly. His dad is positive though and they have the same cough so I'm 99% sure its covid. He slept most of yesterday and seems to be in better spirits today so praying we have come out the other end now.
Its so hard to know as we had 2 good days and then he got sick again, so its been really unpredictable. Horrible illness ☹️

@Nottosure22 was it covid in the end? Dd has same symptoms apart from vomiting

Nottosure22 · 26/12/2021 20:24

@M2AL

Im still awaiting the PCR results as xmas has delayed but he has been testing negative on lft. Im going to ssume yes based off the fact his dad had it an his symptoms were not typical of his usual colds. However i would never have thought it was covid on those symptoms alone. Hope your LO is better soon x

How's your little one @Nottosure22 - I'm worried my little girl had caught it from her dad, he tested positive last week. She's just woken and behaving quite strangely, coughing etc.

Did you end up getting a positive PCR? I'll LFT her in the morning but dreading it- they are a nightmare to do aren't they?
