Should my child be going to school with this cough!

Firstly - pcr tested on Thursday and negative. She's had a cough for a week after a snotty nose. Cough is lingering. She went back to school this week. Snot has gone. Cough is mainly bad at night and morning. Coughing a little in the day at times but IMO not continuous - but that cough is rather bark like. Post viral type cough.

I sent her to school because she could have this cough for weeks from experience. She has good respiratory hygiene - better than most adults I know.

she had a coughing fit on the way home from school. Mainly because she had been running and it's windy. The looks I got 🤯 the cough is quite barky and loud but surely parents know that children cough?!

School have been happy to have her in after negative pcr. She's not been poorly in herself, usual energy levels despite the night time coughing - it's not all night. Maybe 2-3 times a night lasting a few minutes.

Would everyone be sending their dc in with this situation?
