Bacteria in urine but no Symptoms of a UTI?

One day last week DS said he’d felt the urge to urinate all day even though he didn’t need to empty his bladder.
Knowing that can be a symptom of a UTI I got in touch with the GP and a urine test was sent away.

Meanwhile, DS briefly complained of lower abdominal discomfort, but other than that had no further symptoms of a UTI. He wasn’t at all unwell & had no temperature.
A few days later the urine test result came back positive for klebsiella!?
So I’m wondering how and why a healthy boy ends up with klebsiella in his urine?
Anyone any experience of this?
Thanks

If he was entirely well it's very possible the bacteria are contaminants, for example from the stool. With small children this is pretty common. Especially if the urine dipstick didn't suggest infection and/or there are no white (infection fighting) cells in the urine.
