Anyone’s child had hand, foot and mouth recently?

Just wanted to ask how quickly the spots appeared once you noticed the initial one?
Dd has been fine in herself, bit tired but no temp etc but she’s just pointed out a small spot on inside top of thigh. Can’t see any others anywhere.
Ds had it years ago really badly but can’t remember how quickly the spots appeared.

Quite quickly from memory over a few hours there was more and more.

DD was lethargic and seemed unwell at first and then woke the next morning with a visible rash on her face which got worse pretty fast. She saw a child with hand foot and mouth two days before she got ill, and he only showed symptoms the day before she was lethargic.

Ds2 had it two weeks ago. First spot appeared or I noticed it on the Sunday and he hadn’t been well. Other spots began appearing on Monday onwards. He was covered everywhere but his torso and needed steroid cream for his hands and toes. I expect his nails to start falling off soon, they have gone scabby and soft.

Thanks both, it may just be a bit of trapped dirt or hair but I am hyper vigilant as I know it’s doing the rounds at this time of year
