How long do vomiting bugs tend to last in toddlers?

My 2 year old has been vomiting non stop since last night. It let up for a bit today. He wanted food so I gave him some dry toast but vomiting has started again. Back to plain water and dioralyte. I've never had to deal with this in a toddler before. We're both exhausted! Any ideas re how long I can expect this to last?

Praying I don't get ill too as I'll be really stuck!

It's usually over within 48 hours. Little sips of water and no food, even if he says he's hungry. Poor lamb.

Well it feels like forever!
My almost 3YO had a particularly nasty bout a few weeks ago - puked all Sat night, once Sunday morning and we thought he was over it. Then he puked A LOT Monday teatime after eating ok on the Monday into Tuesday morning. Was very sleepy all day Tuesday- slept either on me or the sofa and then slept all night and got up more-or-less normal on the Wednesday. Was just giving him another 12 hours before I got medical advice and he recovered.
At one point he wasn't keeping water down. Completely fine now.
Good luck and I hope that it doesn't last as long for you.

My toddler had one the other week and it lasted 3 days 😟 it was awful at the, lots of sick in the night but recovered quickly after a few days

I didn’t catch it nor did anyone else in the house.

@mayblossominapril neither did any of us! Even though it was thought to be a bug that was tearing through nursery and hit loads of the children and staff! 🤷🏻‍♀️
