Ds 16 reduced appetite and stomach pains, feeling worried

This is so unlike my otherwise ravenous son! He's eating small portions and struggling to eat his entire meal. Gp has questioned if it could be psychological but he's so happy at the moment. Typical day he'll eat Alpen for breakfast, an Avacado and mozeralla sandwich for lunch with a tangerine... Not bothered about after school snack like he used to be. Dinner he'll sometimes eat all of it, often gets to halfway and says he's full.... That scares me!

For his entire life he's been such a hungry boy, he's very tall like dad 6'4. He used to look for food and I couldn't feed him enough over the past several years.
Really worried since seeing Dr this morning yet pleased he's running stool tests, bloods etc. He's on borderline underweight level on bmi chart.
He has stomach pains in the morning which he used to have as a child are more frequent but no bowel changes.

In your experience - does that ravenous appetite during the growing years come to an end? It's so weird to see him only eating half a plate full of dinner and not asking for anything else for rest of the evening.

Thank you for any advice
