So i noticed tonight my son who is 7 years old has a lump under one of his nipples and it looks really swollen in comparison to the other one.

Obviously I’m gonna contact my doctors ASAP but I’m wondering what on Earth this could be and worried sick!

Anyone had anything similar?

Didn’t want to read be run, sorry I don’t know.
Could it be a cyst possibly?

I’m not sure. It’s just really strange.

Still awake & researching what it may be but the only thing that’s come up is early puberty (and that’s for girls!)

No idea what it could be, but I know if it was me I'd be freaked out just like you so I'm here for a hand hold. Let us know what the GP says when you call. I'm sure everything is going to be just fine.

@Vampyhooch1987 how did you get on? Any idea what it is?!

Vampyhooch1987 · 24/05/2021 13:52

Hi.

So I spoke to the doctors & she has said it sounds like a breast bud??? (Without seeing it)

He’s got an appointment this Wednesday so she’s gonna have a look at it then! X

It does sound like a breast bud and is a very normal part of development although not all children develop them

Antiqueanniesmagiclanternshow · 25/05/2021 22:22

Yeah my son had this. Just hormones. They go away by themselves.

Moreguac · 25/05/2021 22:23

Sorry forgot to add that boys can get them too
