Hi wondering if anyone has been or is in the same boat and what your outcomes were. My LO is now 7mnth old and has been in a harness for 14wks. Just wondering when other LO got their harness took off and what degree their hip was. As the consultant is keep telling me another 4wks and this has happened for 12wks as they first said she would only need it on for 2wks as her hip is borderline. Thankyou

Hi @LittleAmam how are you doing?

Hi, my child had theirs on from around 6 weeks of age for about 3 months, after the 3 months they had it on for about a month but just at bedtime. It was a very worrying time but at every scan we had we could see that the gap was getting smaller and smaller so we knew the harness was working. I can't remember the exact number but I do recall the number getting smaller and smaller at each visit. My child is now almost 5 years old and is completely fine.

I hope this helps, when you next have your scan I would ask what the original gap measurement was and how it has progressed over time. Some kids respond really quickly, while others can take their time. I read at the time that the harness has about 90pc accuracy rate. Good luck with it all.
