Grey/white hair on teenager

I noticed DS13 had a patch of white/grey hair on the back of his head early 2020. It's tiny. There are probably 30 hairs.

Last week I noticed one eyebrow had a white patch too. They used to be v v fair and as he hit puberty they've darkened considerably, except this white patch. It's about 1cm.

Any ideas what's going on? Nothing else abnormal stands out.

Some people just get grey hair very early in life. Some lucky people never get it. I wouldn't worry.

Thanks, and I understand that, but this isn't caused by the ageing process. They're in odd spots.

It's worth a phone call to the GP. It won't be anything urgently worrying, I don't expect, does he have any odd pigmentation anywhere on his skin? Ask him to check for pale patches.

A friend of mine had this, he just had a grey patch on his head and beard in a sort of line. There wasn’t anything wrong

Hmm, maybe a phone call with the GP then and see what she says. Thank you.

No, no patches anywhere else. I looked back at old photos earlier. His eyebrow was normal a couple of months ago. This white patch is new.
