Small red bump on penis - anything to be concerned about?

My 11yr old son has just shown me that when he pulls his foreskin back there is a small red bump on the head of his penis. It looks almost blister like. He says it doesn't hurt and he noticed it when he was in the shower the other day.
I noticed he has sprouted a fair bit of pubic hair since I last saw him naked (which was a real surprise as I thought he was miles off puberty!)
Could this bump be something early puberty related, just a need to wash more thoroughly or anything to be concerned about?
He's my eldest and I am suddenly feeling unsure and unprepared for him growing up...
Thanks for any words of wisdom from people with more experience of young boys and their bits. (That sounds wrong but you know what I mean!)

Hmmm... I'm not sure either! It could be a few things couldn't it, like you said. Run it by your GP to be sure 💁🏻‍♀️?

Do you know if he has been washing himself properly by pulling the skin back and giving everything a good wash. If not then it may be a build up of bacteria causing a little skin infection. Might be worth speaking to the pharmacy and see if you can get some cream for him. Keep an eye on it

I know it's embarrassing but I'd take a photo of it, just so you had evidence, and ask Gp.
