Would you take him to the walk in centre?

My little boy feel and banged his head on the tv cabinet. It bled a lot but he wasn't sick or sleepy etc. Spoke to GP who said as long as he wasn't sick he isn't too worried but it's up to us if we want to take him to have it glued etc. Our walk in shuts soon and I don't think it's worth a&e... DH thinks we should see how it looks tomorrow. What do you think? It's not a large cut just the amount it bled worried me.

I would take him to get it glued.

My DS had exactly the same cut in pretty much the same place, same sort of depth, etc. I took him to the walk in centre and they said it definitely needed gluing. So they glued and steri stripped it.

I would, apart from anything else it’ll keep reopening and bleeding if you don’t. I’ve a child who has had serial gluing trips, the scars are neater too!

SueGeneris · 21/12/2020 19:11

I would also get it glued. Have had similar injury with one of mine - and myself as a child.

Nightmanagerfan · 21/12/2020 19:21

It won’t be able to be glued if you wait as it will start to heal more open - gluing will bring the skin together so go now

Thank you everyone. We took him to the walk in and they glued him back up, glad I went now!
