Dd was ill with a rotten cold 3 weeks ago - she recovered and went back to school - no temp. one day back and she was off again with cold and tiredness, day after she had a temp of 37.8 but was getting better. Sleeping fine, eating fine, all normal. She seems to have recovered completely apart from looking a bit pale but her temp has remained between 37.4 - 38 every day. She doesn't need calpol and has no soreness, sniffles, or aches and pains. At a loss. She tested negative for covid 3 days ago. Temp never goes above 38 but she is normally 36.5-37. She is still off school and resting/ doing some school work. Could this be just flu or leftover virus from cold - that hit her hard. Any advice really appreciated. Should I just wait it out? Thanks in advance for any replies.

Poor little mite. It could be a double whammy of a cold and a virus but really you need to check in with her GP now because of how long it’s been going on for. Hope she is fully recovered soon.

Thanks for reply. Docs booked for tomorrow. I’ve avoided docs up till now as she was on the mend and temp would be 37.5 or 4 half the day and thought it was going away. It would go up again and I just decided she’d have to have another day off school. It’s only the last couple of days I’ve been worried because she’s completely fine apart temp. She’s bouncing around - happy. I don’t want to jump the gun as it’s virus time of year and all the temp related stuff I’ve read about involves at least some symptoms.
