7 year old really emotional and complaining of headaches

Hi,

My 7 year old has always been a little anxious and challenging but things have escalated quite dramatically over the last couple months.

She’s almost throwing tantrums again - talking back, attitude, eye rolls, quick to tears, stomping her foot, even growling!

She has also started complaining of headaches which has flagged with me as a migraine sufferer (since 4 years old).

I was wondering if this was the dreaded pre-puberty phase and if anyone had any tips/advice?

I think she’s just adjusting to returning to school after COVID but she really isn’t getting on at school this year either but I keep being reassured by the school that she’s fine in class.

Feel like we are always arguing and I’m losing.

Help!

My son is 8 and is the same. Migraines/headaches and the beginnings of hormonal cheekiness and tantrums. Growing quickly and I noticed he had BO the other day Hmm

I don’t have migraines but my mum has had then since she was child and my husband doesn’t get migraines but frequent bad headaches.

I don’t have any tips besides plenty of sleep, frequent meals, upping the water and reduce screen time
