Chicken Pox Vax and 12 month vax

I've booked my daughter in for a private chicken pox vaccination on Friday.

But then remembered she'd got her 12 month injections on the 18th of this month too.

Does anyone know if it's ok for them to be close together? Does it matter? Will she have recovered from the first before the second? I don't remember my eldest being bothered by either injections but doesn't mean their little bodies aren't working hard.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure you need at least a 4 week gap between them I'm afraid. Check with the clinic but I'm sure that's what they told me!

Damn, ok! Thanks! I'll give them a call tomorrow and then probably need to reschedule!

Thanks for replying :-)

Yes, 4 week gap. I did MMR first, just because measles is the more dangerous.
Look up the details on timings for side effects of MMR by the way, all very mild but just to be prepared as we got mild temp within 48 hours, then a few little spots on something like days 9-10 then 11-12 post-jab. All like clockwork for the expected side effects, but might startle you if you aren't expecting it.

Thank you! It's a good reminder to brace myself for her to be a little under the weather.

I've cancelled chicken pox one and will book again for January. Might have gone a bit Vax crazy with everything going on, trying to protect her from everything I can!
