Missed a dose of omeprazole, should I take him off?

My son has silent reflux and was bad when younger! he is now 19 weeks old and with omeprazole and a change of milk he is a lot better! Only see some signs when feeding (not every time) I missed his morning dose and was so busy I forgot! He has been fine all day! Surely if he needed it still missing a dose would have made him worse? Or will it take time for his body to produce more acid?

He will still have omeprazole in his system, it would probably be after missing a few doses you would notice. Dosing is to keep the levels steady, they don't drop once they are at "steady state" if you keep dosing, and will take a while if you stop.

Don't take him off it. Give it max a week and you'll know all about why you shouldn't of taken him off it. Its clearly working that he's not got any symptoms. It's like a serious drug like an antibiotics or something else it's acid reflux missing a does is safe. It's all good
