She’s 6 years old and over the last few weeks she’s been complaining of stomach pain. Nothing too sever just a general grumble although she did have a few nights where the pain was very bad and kept her up.
She’s had REALLY bad wind, she’s farting constantly and it stinks!
The odd upset stomach but nothing consistent or anything that I would consider a bug.
And to finish off this evening she’s done a poo that was bright green (the only thing I can think that’s caused this is a bubble gum ice cream but there was only about 5hrs between it being eaten and her hulk poo!)

Yes.

I reckon the green poo was the ice cream but def take her to docs about her stomach aches. You should start a food diary and see if what she’s eating affects her. Hope you find out soon

Yes, it could be one of many things, but friend’s DD presented in a very similar way and was diagnosed as coeliac, the bad farts really resonated as that’s what this child had (although they’re not exclusive to coeliac disease, I just think she needs checking out)
The blue poo is most likely the ice cream as a PP said, but some conditions that affect the bowel can also affect but transit time, which may explain the 5h internal
Hope she’s ok Flowers

*gut transit!

Yes green poo could be ice cream.

Wind and bad smell could be caused by milk intolerance - which also can cause green poo.

You do really need a GP to work through all options with you and how to work out what it is.

Blue ice cream gives my dd green poop

Greengrapes1357 · 26/07/2020 19:41

Yes I would and have done with two of mine - one has a form of coeliac the other a gluten intolerance.
I would first do a diary of pain /diet /any stress going on etc for two weeks as they'll probably send you away to complete one if not.
Usually the next step is bloods, stool sample and a feel of the abdomen.
Have you also checked for worms, blood in stool etc?

PinotAndPlaydough · 27/07/2020 10:28

Thanks everyone, the drs are going to arrange a stool and urine sample and blood tests.
