Elevated alkaline phosphatase levels in toddler

My DS (2 years 9 months) has slightly elevated phosphatase levels. He has had low vitamin D and had a blood test to check this. The levels are much better but still slightly low. Gp thinks the elevated phosphatase levels might be to do with the low vitamin d but no one mentioned this when his levels Of vitamin d were really low. She has written to Paeds to ask their advice but just wondered if anyone had any experience or knowledge of this?

Didnt want to read and run and hopefully someone else will see the post who can help.

The only thing you can do in this case is wait for the referral / advice

Hope it gets sorted quickly for you

Thank you for your reply. Yes I will wait for the reply from the hospital. Hopefully it will be nothing serious and they just recommend another test to check it in a few months or something Smile
