DS(5) first mentioned a couple of months ago that his ‘words repeat inside my ears and head when I speak.’ He said it’s there all the time but was not distressed and wandered off.
Today he repeats the above but said it’s not just his voice but all sounds. He appeared slightly upset about it, but before I contact the GP I wondered if anyone knew what this could be? I didn’t want to make a big deal of it and bring his attention to it even more which could end up distressing him further.
He has mild glue ear and 6-monthly hearing tests. He was last tested in Jan/Feb and his hearing was normal and the glue was moving, meaning it can potentially drain without having grommets. Not had another appointment obviously because of Covid.
I wondered if it’s possible that the glue ear has worsened or perhaps something else is responsible? I have tinnitus myself but he did not describe that.
