Can anyone else see all of their child's veins?

What the title says really. My 8 year old daughter is a walking road map of veins. All over her chest and stomach, even her lower back is covered in very visible veins.
Is this normal? She's otherwise a happy, healthy girl.

This describes how I was as a child. My "party trick" was to waggle my fingers in a particular manner and the veins on the backs of my hands would really stand up and one in particular could be made to move from one side to the other. Can hardly see any of them now apart from those on the inner wrist.
