Constant strep A infections after antibiotics are stopped.

My 15 yr old son has a reoccurring strep throat infection. He finished his second course of antibiotics on Friday, come Sunday he was vomiting again with fever and now his throat is swollen and sore.
I'm waiting for his consultant to call me with a plan, DS is a CF patient so I'm on very regular iv antibiotics anyway. These throat infections have been ongoing since March, as soon as a course on antibiotics finish it comes back. It's always very quick too. DS can be happily chatting away, mid sentence and then suddenly will vomit and an hour later will be delirious with fever and his throat almost swollen shut and covered in puss.
We have replaced all his medical equipment and sterilised what we can't replace, toothbrush had been replaced too.

I know no one can offer any fixes but I could do with someone to talk too, this is getting exhausting and now I'm going to end up taking him to the ward which although very hot on infection control is a scary place to be at the moment.
