My DS is 3.5 and currently under respiratory peads and gastro peads. She ordered some baseline bloods as he had never had them. Alot of people comment on how sickly pale my son is and I must admit he is. However all his bloods came back normal. He isn't anemic, liver and kidney function fine. Doctors said they were OK. I just don't know? Could he be deficient in nutrition?
He's allergic to milk and soya so doesnt haven't have that in his diet. No citrus as it flares his reflux. On omeprozole which I know over a prolonged period of time to stop absorpbtion of food.

Any ideas?

It's impossible to comment without knowing what his other health problems are.

But are you or his dad pale skinned?

I am the ghostly pale child of quite pale parents. It can be as simple as that. Especially as it is now February as your DS presumably hasn't seen the sun for a while?

People like to comment. It's not always helpful. For the last 40+ summers I have had comments about whether I'm ill.
