My 9 month old has never slept more than 2 hours at once and I'm losing my mind

My 9 month old refuses to sleep properly. He wakes up every two hours during the night and will cry for between 30 minutes to 2 hours before falling asleep again. Nothing I do improves the situation. Last night he woke up every hour and at one point cried for 3 hours, absolutely none stop.

If you allow him out of bed (mine or his) he immediately stops crying, but is clearly extremely tired. He will nap during day two or three times, but never for more than 30 minutes

Development wise he's fine, but I have completely lost my mind with tiredness, having not slept for more than a couple hours unbroken for approaching a year.

The boy has an iron will and a seemingly unlimited ability to resist sleep. He won't accept food, cuddles, water or anything during the night. The only thing that stops him is letting him not sleep.

This sounds awful, I really feel for you.

Do you have any family that could take him for a night so that you could sleep? Is there a husband/partner? If so, they should be regularly stepping in, you can't live like this!

Is he breast fed or bottles.
How's his poo
Is he eating food.
Has anyone else tried to have him for the day
How do you get him to sleep

Dummy? Is he crawling yet?

I really recommend a book called The sensational baby sleep plan.
You can get it on Amazon.
Seriously saved my life. I was exhausted with sleep depravation and this book showed me how to get my baby sleeping through the night. Best thing I ever did
