Hello

My son is 5 years old and for a few days he was a little under the weather bright green runny nose and cough and was paler than usual so I kept him off of school and then the next day he came running up to me an said "mummy I've done the biggest pop ever it's taken up the whole toilet " (before this he was complaining of a little tummy ache but nothing major so I just told him to loosen his trousers) to which I laughed and said let me have a look but it was to late, he had already flushed. Then about 30 minutes after he shouts out to me that his pooped on the floor and he couldn't make it to the toilet! At this point I figured his got Diarrhea and go to clean it up but it was mucus and bloody Diarrhea (picture attached) sorry for tmi!! He then went a poo after and it was just a blob of mucus! While all this has been happening he has been running around and eating and laughing as normal! Has anyone had this before??
Please I'm so worried

I have called 111 they said he would have to do a stool sample first thing in the morning and to get emergency doc app tomorrow

I had this once with a DC when they were ill a few years ago. Iirc it was some kind of d and v bug. Dioralyte was needed is all I remember. Was soon back to normal.

Thankyou for replying!! He hasn't had any vomiting at all though? Could it be d and v bug without vomiting?
