My little boy has just turned 4. Last night he pulled a radiator cover over on to his foot (we had just bought it, and was about to secure it too the wall.) We took him to A&E and got there at 7pm, had x-rays and found out it is fractured in two places. The nurse gave him some ibuprofen at 8pm, and she also gave him some chocolate which he ate in the car.
When we got home I made him a bed on the sofa, however at 2am he woke up in pain. He started coughing (he has asthma and is just getting over a bad cough and cold.) He immediately started vomiting. I gave him half a dose of Calpol and about 15mins later he was badly sick again. He managed to have a little bit of sleep, but woke up coughing again and was sick a little bit more.
He doesn't have diarrhea or a temperature. This morning he doesn't want to eat, but will take water.
I know for me if I have ibuprofen, it gives me heartburn and I am then sick myself. So I don't know if it is a combination of that, having a bad cough and being in pain. I was just wondering if anyone else's child has asthma, what happens if they have ibuprofen?
