Hi all, baby had his 10 month check and HV checked his leg creases etc. He has ever so slightly uneven bum crease and one leg seems shorter.
Hes been crawling a long time and is now cruising and taking 3/4 steps unaided .
Has anyone had this with their babies and it be nothing? I'm terrified its hip dysplasia which is what is coming up when I google.
The thought of him in a cast (super clingy baby) who loves being on the move is making me so sad! How would I cope with work etc?!
I'm waiting for a referral after seeing the gp Tuesday. She said it will be an ultrasound or xray.
He has full range of movement in the hip and his newborn hip check was fine. 2nd born. Normal delivery. Not breech. No family history
I'm really overthinking everything.
Thanks all

I guess I will just have to wait till march as I have found out an xray is £150 which I cannot afford atm unfortunately. They have refused at the doctors to refer for an xray x

Just thought I would update. Baby is now walking. He seems to walk with his legs quite wide, a turned out foot on the left side and what I'm not sure is an odd gait or a limp.
Hospital are still refusing to see him until end of March. GP wont do an xray. What do I do now? Have already complained to PALS

They can't x-ray til about 12 months anyway as there isn't the bone maturity to image. It would be ultrasound prior to that.

He is 1 now

Hello, I'm new here as I just discovered this thread while researching on uneven leg lengths. My DS is 9.5months he started walking at 8.5months. I have just found out that his left leg is longer and more curved as he walks with his legs really wide apart. The right leg is shorter and there's a bit of uneven thigh crease. I'm in Nigeria and my country isn't well medically developed so I don't even know if he was examined as a newborn. Took him to a physiotherapist and he examined him and during the exam I heard and felt some clicking or clunking sounds. I just hope it isn't hip dysplasia. I have uneven and unequal legs that don't affect me in any ways. Please kindly keep updating. Thanks

Hi there, I know this is a very old post but I wanted to ask how things went with your son? I am in a similar situation with my nearly 1 year old
