What look like bruises on toddler's lips

As the title really. Our 15 month old DS's lips sometimes look as if they are bruised, and have blue spots. He bit his lip last week so I assumed it was that but tonight his top lip was the same too. Has anyone experienced this? It seems to be more prominent sometimes and barely visible others. He's healthy enough otherwise, so I don't want to be one of those hypochondriac mothers who rushes to the doctors every five minutes, but at the same time it doesn't seem normal either. Any ideas/suggestions welcome.

Is it the whole of the lips or just in patches?

My DS had blue lips quite a lot when he was little and we later discovered he had a heart condition. He is 14 now and is fine but still under a cardiologist.

It's probably nothing like this but maybe worth a GP visit.

I haven't got a photo unfortunately and he's gone to bed now. It is just in patches, I may make a GP appointment if it's not settled down. Thank you and glad to hear your DS is fine despite his problems 😊

Does it look like little blood spots inside his mouth? He may need a platelets check if so.
