What to use on DS's dry/sore face (with pics)

DS has always tended to have dry skin (thankfully grew out of bad eczema as a baby) so keep a tub of aveeno if he ever starts to feel tight skinned or itchy but he's never really suffered on his face until now. I've taken some pictures - it's mainly centred around his mouth/nose and is dry with red patches plus you can see fine broken veins. Could it be anything else - I did wonder if it was the start hormonal breakouts but it's more dry patches than actual spots. Is aveeno ok to use on the face or might something like coconut oil be better?

Egyptian magic! Really is magic balm for dry skin.

I always use the Oilatum cream on any little blemishes/dry bits or sore spots and it seems to help my boy- might be worth a try x
