Hand foot and mouth and eczema

My dd (2) has HFM for the second time. Last time it was awful: wouldn't eat or drink, blisters all over bum and legs and hands and a lot of her face. Her fingers cracked and got infected so she needed antibiotics.
This time it all seems much milder - no temp, eating fine, perfectly well in herself - but the blisters on her hands are still appearing and she's at them all the time. Her eczema is flaring too.
Can I use her normal steroid cream over the sore areas to treat the eczema even where there's HFM rash?
