Excessive drooling and tongue poking

Hi, my LO (13wks) has been diagnosed with reflux, he was on infant gaviscon but it made him constipated so he's now on ranitidine but this doesn't seem to be making much difference either.

He seems to dribble loads, I have to change his bib every few hours and it soaks through to his clothes and he also seems to poke his tongue out a lot. Of course I've googled and lots of worrying things come up such as Down's syndrome, autism and lots of other conditions. My mind is in over drive, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and /or could the dribbling/tongue be to do with the reflux?
Thanks

Have you checked your LO gums for teething? My DD is 11 weeks and always dribbling but shes quite clearly teething as I can see and feel the teeth in her gums.
Is you LO always chewing hands also?

Hi yes he is constantly chewing hands as well. No haven't felt gums for a while, last time I didn't notice anything but I'll have a feel tomorrow. Thanks

Has he got a tongue tie or palatal issues?

I'm not sure about the dribbling but the poking tongue thing is definitely common! My dd went through a similar stage when she was discovering how to move her mouth/tongue, so I wouldn't worry about that in itself.
