7 week old baby jolts head forward in sleep?

I’m really worried my 7 week old baby girl occasionally jolts her head forward in her sleep. Stupidly I googled and now I feel like crying after reading some of the things on there! I’m going to ask my hv about this and speak to the gp at her check up next week but for peace of mind right now does anyone know what this could be? Is it normal? Does anyone else’s baby do this and is okay? Thanks in advance!!

Jerking movements in sleep (particularly when falling asleep or waking) are very common both in children and adults - they are known as sleep myoclonus. It is much more likely than not that everything's normal if your baby isn't doing anything else abnormal. But completely reasonable to check in with health visitor / GP and they can explore the history fully.
