Cough at night after bottle and rash on chin

Hi,

My daughter is nearly a year, for the past 2 and a half months she has had an unexplained cough particularly at night, it isn’t every night, some nights we have nothing (rare) some nights dry cough from when we put her down and most nights a wet cough mostly after giving her a bottle (which she is insistent she still has!) she coughs in the day but not nearly as much and she has a runny nose but not all the time so can’t really blame post nasal drip (however I raise her bed just in case it would help) she also has a rash on her chin which gets worse when outside so thinking that might be saliva?? But did initially think it could be cow milk protein allergy with the cough so have actually recently changed to goat milk on recommendation of a few people and hasn’t helped face or cough or nose. Not sure could be asthma either as runny nose!!??
She did have a chest infection at the start of this, she was very poorly followed by what I thought was a reaction to the antibiotics (the same rash on face she still has) so took her off after 3 days - doctor checked and said chest infection had gone. Just wondering has anyone else had these symptoms, I am at my wits end!! Thank you

I would ask the GP for an inhaler to use before bed. I reckon it's asthma, or at least a mild version. My son had terrible cough at night, postnatal drip etc and we used this for about a year. He then completely grew out of it. She may be more sensitive after the infection as well.
