Hi all,
Just wanted some advice, DD is never ill, and has been up during the night with a sore throat - tonsilits symptoms - no energy, very painful to swallow. I suffer like this myself when ill, and normally use chloroseptic and spend a few days at in bed.
What should I give DD? Calpol, soup and strepsils? When would I know if I should take her to the docs? Are there any home remedies I should try? Thanks everyone, feeling a bit useless!

No need for a doctor at the moment. Usually I would give paracetamol and ibuprofen if/when required. Not sure about soup though, I would wait and see if she wants to eat later and take it from there.

Does she have a temperature? Achey? If not I'd just monitor her and let her rest,if she gets worse or develops a temperature then she needs to be seen.

Thank you. She's really bundled up on the sofa so may have a temperature, i'm just letting her sleep at the mo.
She seems so grown up at 11, i don't know whether to treat her the same as a little child, or a small adult iyswim!

Thanks again
