Has anyone’s child had their iron levels (ferritin) checked?

And if so what were the results and did they need treatment?

My DS had low iron levels and was proscribed Sytron for about 6 months.
He had regular blood tests until the hospital decided his levels were high enough.
Something to do with not absorbing it properly from his diet as far as I remember.

My DD had v low ferritin (I think it was 9) and was prescribed iron. Massive improvement in her energy levels and she slept a lot better as she'd developed restless legs at night due to the low iron. Still has iron on prescription, occasional restless legs but nothing like as bad as it used to be.
