What the fuck is it? It's very light. Doesn't hurt him but is odd. On chin only. Not raised. He hasn't bashed it. He is otherwise well. But my instincts are tingling. Any ideas?

Has he been sucking a cup so it sticks to his face if you know what I mean, I would get this as a kid from doing just that, keep an eye if it spreads get it checked

I was going to say the same, I made my chin bright purple doing that.

I asked him this morning. Reiterated he's not in trouble in case he was worried. He said no. I poked it a bit, asked him if teeth ok. All fine. Very strange.

Impetigo?
It ends up crusty and oozy so when you google Impetigo Chin it won’t really reflect the early stages.
About 12-14 years ago, I went through a two year period of impetigo flare ups on my chin. It always started out mottled and then, dats later, the itching would start and the rest. It’s a long, drawn out battle.

If, over the next few days, it starts itching and becoming more red, I’d assume impetigo. The very best treatment I finally discovered is apple cider vinegar and hot water, dabbed onto the affected area with a cotton pad. Also, pure aloe vera. Nothing worked for me like vinegar though. Once I discovered this, it went quicker than before and never returned.
