Swollen Lymph Nodes In back of baby's head

Hi all my first ever post! Beginning of January I noticed a swollen lymph node on the back of my sons (1) head. This has been getting bigger for 3 weeks now she had bloods (ESR/LDH) . Was asked to go in today to get the results and was told the bloods need to be repeated and they are sending him for a scan. All she said was the levels were raised but she's not sure if it's viral. She asked if he has been ill, which he hasn't no cough or cold or runny nose. Has anyone ever had any experience with this or similar? I have to wait until Monday for the new blood test and a letter for the scan. I don't even know what kind of scan it is Confused! Thanks for listening

It is very common to have nodes like peas close to the back of the neck. It indicates a prob infection of unknown cause. Usually go quickly which is why they are investigating. You need to ask the doctors, not MN. You could get false fears or false assurances. Neither are helpful

I'm not sure u have read my message properly. I'm certain it's nothing untoward I was just asking if anyone had a situation where the node at the back of the ear wasn't reducing.

Sorry I didnt realise that was the focus of your post. Why would this matter? I thought you just had a concern about the cause
