How to contact health visitor by post in scotland

I want to opt out of the health visitor, who do I write to (I’m in Scotland).

Health visiting is an optional service and one I have tried for both my children and I could just do without it as i found nothing particularly helpful even though my HV was nice enough. I know people will say to grin and bear it but I don’t see the point. Someone told me they would call social services on me but that’s not true (or at least it’s not legal unless there’s a genuine cause for concern) and I have nothing to hide. So where do I write? Doctor surgery?

They must get your details from somewhere. Here in England it would be passed on by the midwife or GP. Write to them telling them you are refusing consent for them to pass your details onto the Health Visitor. According to GDPR they should be telling you that they'd pass your details on anyway, but the NHS doesn't usually tell people how their information is shared.
Just be aware, that if the HV is unaware if your child's existence, then the school nursing service won't be, either.

Get the address of the health visiting dept attached to your GP - to whom you would be allocated.

Write to them. Explain why you wish to opt out (politely) and ask for a written receipt to your letter.

It’s simples :)
