Natures Aid Vitamin D3 drops - how to take

Has anyone used these for their newborn? I was using smaller drops but I couldn't tell if my baby was getting them or not. So I have been advised to use this product instead but my Dr said put the full 1 ml into the babies mouth daily, however the instructions say put the 1 ml on the nipple for baby to suck which would drop the amount they absorb compared to squeezing directly into their mouth as advised by my Dr - can anyone advise ?

I always put it directly to their mouth. Even then they only absorb part of it as some always leaks. Cannot imagine putting it on the nipple, it would just be an oily mess

I didn’t use that brand. I bought abidrops I think, then found that the NHS heathy start ones were available to buy so switched to them. Both bottles had small droppers, to take one dose of 5 drops a day (the abidrops were 3 I think). I used to put on my nipple immediately before feed. I had her poised, then applied drops and let her on. she’d hoover it up and it was much less hassle and waste than trying to get it in her mouth or take it via a spoon (spoon refuser). She’ll take vits easily on a spoon now though.
