Threadworms...HELP

On Thursday night my son started complaining of a sore bottom upon checking him I saw one tiny threadworm and PANIC started! Husband bought Ovex from Asda and quickly gave a dose to everyone. That was Thursday at 6pm.... fast forward 48h and they are getting worse. My daughter has passed dead ones in her stool - I have passed dead ones and just found a live one after going to the loo. My son is so bad - live worms in his poo and bottom every time we check him (2-3 hours) he's been crying in discomfort for 2 nights straight...

We been following a stricter hygene plan but to be honest I clean my bathroom daily and change the kids pjs daily too.

My question is : is it normal after 48h for them to still be alive? How long does it take for them to stop showing up?

I'm quite an anxious person but this has been destroying me and I can't sleep or eat Sad

@SweetMummy911 Did you manage to get rid of them? I'm going through threadworm hell. We've had them for about 6 weeks and have taken ovex repeatedly. I feel as though we are going to have them for life.
