Can you get hand foot and mouth twice?

Anyone know? DD is 6 and had it when she was 1. She is supposed to be going to a friend's house on Saturday but friend's little brother has just developed HFM. Should I still send her?

Hi, yes I believe you can get it more than once unfortunately. My twins have just had it and got it confirmed at the GP. As I commented about it being another thing out of the way he confirmed that you can indeed get it more than once Sad

Yes, it’s not like CP where they build immunity. They can get it repeatedly, like a cold.

Yes my DD has had it twice.... the second time worst then the first and my DH caught it too!
