My son started feeling unwell yesturday he was playing then said his head went to lie down & fell asleep (he hasn't napped in ages) checked his temp 39.3 so took blanket off him he woke up saying he's cold & he had goose bumps I gave him calpol. He lay watching the telly fell asleep agen & temp went back up he managed to perk up before bed last night. He's been awake since 3 abit more perky & temps right down but still complaing of bad head & eye. Is it normal for his temp to go high just when he's asleep? & what would u suggest about persistent headache

It's a hard one, they do say body temperature rises at night time and I always find my son's temp is worse during sleep than awake when he's ill. I'd probably take him to gp to have eyes looked at and the usual, throat, ears and chest listened to. It's probably viral but best to get it checked out.

The head hurting is likely to be the temperature and virus
