DD(6) has had recurrent tonsillitis for a few years now. We had a referral to ENT about 18 months ago who said her tonsils weren’t too big and not too worry. We had 6 months of no tonsillitis following that appointment which was great and I was thinking we were outgrowing it. She has had proper tonsillitis this year about 4 times requiring antibiotics.
The past 8 weeks or so her glands and throat are swelling up and red every couple of weeks causing high temperature but no puss is forming, so haven’t been going to doctors. But she is now saying things like her legs hurt, her tummy hurts, and even her teeth are hurting. This is all new. We were walking a couple weeks ago and for the first time ever she said she was too tired to walk and is difficult to rouse in the morning. She loves school and hates missing a day, so will ask for calpol etc so she can go in, so it’s not like she is playing at it.
Does anyone have any suggestions or experience? It would be much appreciated.
