I posted about my son having hives and now he seems to have a petechia rash too. I googled and it came up with leukaemia, stupid to Google I know. Just wondered if anyone can offer some reassurance please ?

you can sort of see the hives to the left which are blotchy but its the rows of spots that I was bothered about.

Looks like where he has been itching to me.
I have a bleeding disorder and my petechiae dont look like that. They are more spread out and on different areas of my body.
I wouldnt worry. Hes probably itched against something and its from the friction.

Ah yep, that's a pressure/scratching for sure, I get similar to that from my bra straps. Like the person above said, illness related petachiae are random and not uniform like those x

My son's rash looks more like the rash you would get if you had carried a heavy back pack and it had rubbed your skin. The original ones he had have faded now but he has new ones now 😕

Mummytron · 11/08/2018 15:59

Not sure what sort of rash you mean sorry?
His tiny spots have gone now but still covered in hives. Antihistamine from the doctor is dulling them. He's had them for a week now but I gather that's normal.
