Have any of you seen this type of rash before?

Hi

My 5 year old presented with this rash 2 weeks ago and the gp said it was ‘a non infectious viral rash’. It was mostly his tummy and his arm but there were a few sporadic spots on his back and jaw line.

It went away within a few days but now, 2 weeks later, it’s back. I thought it could be an allergy of some sort but it’s not itchy and doesn’t seem to bother him.

It’s definitely not chicken pox.

If it was a viral rash could it come back? I’m waiting for my GP to call me to ask this question but I would be interested to hear from other parents if they’ve had similar experiences with their children.

Thanks in advance Smile

Anyone ?

Even my gp was baffled and has said to go back if anything changes. He said it is unusual because it’s not itchy which apparently rules out allergies and bites... unlikely to be viral as it went away and came back !

Has anyone had anything similar ?

My son had it. Tiny red spots. Almost like zits. Never bothered him and are now going.
