Help! Toddler caught cold sore virus and I’m due baby 2

DD caught cold sore virus (and infected me) when I was circa 12 weeks pregnant. Both of us took primary herpetic gingivostomatitis pretty badly and were given aciclivor (antivirals). I’ll be put on antivirals again at the end of my pregnancy but GP just shrugs when I speak to them about risk off DD passing virus to baby (especially as a neonate).

Has anyone been in a similar position? Any advice?

DD spends a lot of time with fingers in mouth so I’m thinking of getting that nail biting stuff to put her off that at least? We also plan to explain some rules to her re baby e.g. not kissing baby on face, not touching babies face or hands, washing hands before touching baby. Obviously at 2.5yo this isn’t always going to be followed strictly but trying to give her some basics?!

I know I must sound neurotic but we were so careful with DD and she still got the virus and then gave it to me so I have the absolute fear with the new baby!
