Hay fever in toddler or something else?

DS was sent home from yesterday with a temp of 38 and a rash primarily on one cheek and his chest. They have calpol and his temp came straight down and has stayed that way. He's happy in himself and slept as normal last night. Today he woke up with swollen eyes and red cheeks but no temp and again is happy in himself. Does this sound like it could be hay fever? For the first time this spring I dried some clothes outside on the line so that could have contributed? Have a docs appt this aft and will ask her but just wondered if anyone has any thoughts? Thanks!

Sorry doesn't sound like hay fever to me at all. Are his eyes gunky? Sounds more like viral conjunctivitis to me, can cause mild temp and viral rash especially if it's dc's first time encountering the virus.

Thanks for replying. No weeping or anything, he's had conjunctivitis before and I don't think it's that. We're seeing the doctor this afternoon so will see what she says. Thanks!
