Dd 6 nose wrinkling all the time- tic?

My DD has just started nose wrinkling all the time and I am really worried. It’s come from nowhere - she’s also suddenly very angry. Our home environment has been quite stressful so am worried that is contributing.
Is it a tic? She does it a lot and it seems to be getting worse but I have only noticed it a lot in the last 2 weeks.
What should I do? Doctors or leave it a few weeks to see what happens.
Am really worried about her

It could be anxiety if home is stressful. Also look into PANDAS/PANS - it can present as aggression and tics.
I'd take her to the GP. If they rule out a medical cause, I'd focus on trying to reduce stress at home (if possible) and if not, then on giving her both regular breaks from that environment and a way to outlet her anxiety eg drawing; physical play.
Flowers it must be difficult worrying about her and dealing with the stress of home.

It can also be an allergy ( most likely ) .

She’s just woken up and done it about 10 times - it seems to be with sniffing too

It's probably a tic. My son has one at the moment and I had them as a child. The best thing to do is ignore it unless it gets worse. The stressful environment will not be helping though so hopefully that isn't long term

Don't tell her to stop doing it because it will manifest itself in a different way

I was just watching her and it was almost like her nose was twitching uncontrollably and then it stopped- it’s literally come from nowhere

She hasn’t put anything up her nose that’s irritating her, has she?

To me it sounds like a tic. My son had one when he started school and would constantly scrunch up his eyes, I got his eyes tested and all okay but he does suffer with change. We didn't make a big deal out of it and he grew out of it after a few weeks. Then got another tic where he would lick both fingers and rub them under his eyes in a downward motion, again he grew out of it. He tends to get it if something is worrying him or there is a big change but always grew out of it. Just be patient and don't make a deal from it and hopefully it will go away. Xx

Am going to monitor this week and also ask teacher to keep an eye on her - there had been a lot of coughing and throat clearing before but that seems to have stopped
