ENT private healthcare for child under 3

Does anyone know of any ENT consultants/private hospitals in Northampton or surrounding areas who will see children under 3?
My little boy is having issues with repeat tonsillitis and has had funding approved through NHS but it’s a really long wait. He is on our private healthcare but the three shires consultant has said they will not see any children under 3.
Any help will be appreciated x

You might get an outpatient appointment but very few independent hospitals offer children’s services. Even fewer would operate on a child. Does the trust not offer private appointments.

Nico Jonas at the Portland did our DS and sees under 3’s. He was brilliant but appreciate it’s in London.

Hi thanks for your reply. Did your DS have tonsils out if so do you mind me asking what age?
I’m assuming the accept medical insurance. X

We paid privately for an Ent consultant. Well worth it- gp surgery was absolutely awful.

Our DS had adenoids our at 5 years but same surgeon did my friends DS’s tonsils at 2 year. They take private insurance.

Generally speaking most private hospitals will not operate on under 3s and some not under 10.
The Portland in London is one of the few units who will cater for all ages.
Some specialists have the facility to do private operations in their NHS units but if they are anything like mine they are so over run with work that it is difficult to get cases in.
Nico Jonas is a very decent chap and a good choice by the way. (There are also several other very good ENT surgeons who work at the Portland.)
