Chest pain 5 weeks in DD aged 11

DD aged 11 has severe chest pain for 5 weeks now. On first trip to GP he diagnosed reflux and she has been taking losec since first diagnosed. We have had to take her to GP four more times and one trip to A&E when it was at its worst. Blood taken , nothing unusual found, we have cut out all diary where possible but no improvement. I am beginning to think that we may not be reflux and we will need to go back to GP again. Has anyone come across this type of issue before that could offer advise?

Surely reflux would be quite an unusual diagnosis in an 11yo with no prior history? Unless she has a hernia, muscle weakness, etc.

And if Losec is not doing anything then it seems unlikely to be reflux as losec turns off the acid-producing machinery in the digestive system. IF it's doing nothing like you I'd have my doubts. Your poor DD, hope she feels better soon.

Thanks Ragusa yes that is what I thought , will get another GP appointment as soon as possible.
