5 month old baby with swollen groin

Hi all,

My 5 month old DS is poorly at the moment with a cold and a cough, and I noticed that his groin is swollen - the area of skin above his penis. It’s not red and he’s not in any pain, peeing normally, no fever etc but definitely swollen. Took him to the GP straight away, and the Dr had a good feel for hernias, but says it’s not that, but couldn’t tell me what it was, just that I should keep an eye on it. Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas what it could be?

It’s probably a swollen lymph node?

Agree probably swollen lymph node.
Often with a virus. Keep an eye on it but it should go down as your son improves. Extra cuddles.
